Armagh Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Finals
The final of the Armagh Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Camogie and Hurling competitions took place on Wednesday the 4th February. 4 schools took part in the Camogie final – Derrynoose, Armagh CBS, St Malachy's Armagh and Middletown. After some very competitive games Derrynoose won their first County title! They now qualify for the Provincial Indoor finals. Thanks to the all teachers for their assistance in organising their schools to attend.
 
Coaching Courses update
Louth Level 1
11 coaches from 5 clubs completed the inaugural Louth Camogie Level One Coaching Course on Saturday the 07th February. The course was hosted in St Kevins Community Hall in Philipstown, Co Louth. The coaches were involved in modules covering the Role of the Coach, Communication, the LTPD, Warm up Activities, Planning, Skill Development (breaking down skills and skill development in a group setting) Motives & Needs/Lifestyle, Decision Making, Physical Fitness and Specialist Skills. Tutors on the course were Ger Gribben Camogie RDO and Siobhan Poulter Camogie Tutor. Well done to all the Louth, Meath and Dublin coaches involved.

A level 1 Coaching course took place in Cratloe with  13 coaches participating in the course.

Galway Level 1
14 coaches from 8 different clubs completed the Level 1 in Galway held in Carnmore club. Richard McNicholas, Eileen Gleeson and Yvonne Byrne tutored on the course

Wexford Level 1
Weekend 1 of the Wexford Level 1 course took part on Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th of February. 19 coaches took part in the course. Noel Wilson and Noel McSweeney are tutors on the course. Weekend 2 takes place this Saturday the 14th of February.

Westmeath Workshops
Paudie Butler visited Westmeath on 3rd February to focus his and coaches attention on a games based approach to hurling & Camogie. The workshop took place in Clonkill with both theory and practical elements covered.
 
A Nursery workshop took place in the Columb Barracks, Mullingar on 5the February. The theory and practical sessions were delivered by Westmeath GDA, James Heffernan. Camogie will be running a specific one for clubs in the coming weeks. Contact Lizzie Flynn for more information: lflynn@camogie.ie

Pan Celtic – 11th April 2015
The Camogie Association are pleased to announce their involvement in the 2015 Pan Celtic festival which is taking place in Derry, running from 7th – 12th April. The Camogie competition is open to senior (3 grades) and under 16 (3 grades) squads and will be held on Saturday 11th April 2015.
The U16 competition will take place in Owenbeg Centre of Excellence (Dungiven) as a one day event. 15 a-side competition. The senior competition will take place in various pitches in Derry City as a one day event. The senior finals will be held in Celtic Park-15 a-side competition.Clubs can apply by printing out the application form and returning it to the address provided before Friday 7th March 2015.

Galway Referee Course
24 participants representing 12 clubs completed the Referee foundation Course with tutor Peter Downey chairperson of the National Referees Committee. The exam will take place on Thursday 12th of March.

Carlow Go Games
24 participants took part in a Carlow Camogie Go Games evening on Monday the 9th of February. Coaching and admin personal attended this information evening to go through the benefits, rules and structure of Go Games. Carlow Camogie has recently introduced a new Go Games structure increasing the number of blitzes and games for the underage players.
9 clubs were in attendance at the presentation.

—Meath Camogie are running a foundation camogie coaching course in Donaghmore Ashbourne on Saturday 28th February.
The course is aimed at coaches/parents who are starting coaching for the first time or who have been coaching for a while but do not have any qualification. You do not need to be able to play Camogie to coach it well. The course costs €20 per person.
Participant requirements are
•Participants must have completed the Code of Ethics (Child Protection) workshop in advance of the coaching course. Participants will be asked to provide reference number on below. However, participants can bring this information on the day of the course. Anyone who does not have the reference number will not be allowed to take part and will not be certified.
•Participants must be 16 years and over.
