KILKENNY V TIPPERARY (James Stephen’s 4.30pm)

The late start in this group one encounter is to facilitate Tipperary‘s James Woodlock who will be involved with the Premier hurlers in Nowlan Park a couple of hours earlier. The Drom & Inch player is among the camogie backroom team.

This is a huge game as both teams are unbeaten – both have overcome Clare and Dublin. The winner will go through to the final. Camogie in Kilkenny received another fillip last weekend with St Brigid’s Callan regaining the All Ireland senior college’s title.

GALWAY V WEXFORD (Ballinasloe 3pm)

Galway are top of group two and victory would guarantee them a final spot. This year the winners of group one and group two go straight to the decider. The Maroon and White has already defeated Cork in their first round game, which gives an indication of their ambitions for 2009.

Liam Donoghue has an extensive panel to pick from, however, Wexford are also keen to get back to the heights they reached two years ago. The Slaneysiders will know more after this battle.
