The O'Duffy Cup was on proud display on Sunday July 1st as the Camogie Association held its annual Hurl With Me national event in the National Games Development Centre in Abbottstown, Dublin.

The event saw over 1,000 adults and kids from over 32 clubs from around the country compete against each other in a series of matches.

The Hurl With Me event marks the end of a four-week coaching programme which saw parents and guardians train alongside their daughters, one night a week to learn the basic skills of the game in a fun and supportive environment, this is the initial step that looks to engage adults to become more involved in their daughter’s club in either a coaching or administrative role.

The event also kicked off the O’Duffy Cup Tour. Kids and parents were given the opportunity to take pictures with coveted trophy while also enjoying a meet and greet with Dublin Camogie Stars, Miriam Twomey, Emma Flanagan, Orla Beagan and Faye McCarthy.

The O’Duffy Cup Tour will make 6 stops around the country including Wexford, Galway, Waterford and Belfast. The next stop for the Trophy Tour is Limerick on the July 14th in the Gaelic Grounds between 12-2pm at our Camán to Munster Event.
