The Offaly county under 18 team traveled to Down on Saturday last and came away with a very good victory on a scoreline of Down 3-7 Offaly 5-9. Offaly played really well in the first half scoring 3-4 to Down’s 1-3. Serena Keena netted twice, Jean Brady scoring 1-1 and Siobhan Flannery getting 3 points.The second half was a much more even affair with Michlle Gleeson and Kerry McLeish netting goals and Michaela Morkan, Ailsa Hughes, Siobhan Flannery, Jean Brady and Shauna Flynn pointing each with Down scoring 2-4 in reply. Offaly played an open game with some great passing movements and with Michaela Morkan and Siobhan Flannery playing some lovely camogie. Final score Down 3-7 Offaly 5-9.
Offaly now take a break untill the exams are over and their next game is on July 5th at home against Armagh and then Laois on 19th July.
