The year that is mercifully coming to a conclusion will not be remembered fondly by many, for a variety of different reasons linked directly or otherwise to a global pandemic. 

For Armagh Camogie however, the 0-19 to 3-7 triumph over a resilient Cavan in the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Premier Junior Championship Final at Kingspan Breffni on Saturday was a welcome ray of light. 

It was unlucky 13 for Cavan as Ciara Donnelly shot the lights out to banish Armagh’s nightmare of losing the decider of four years ago and finally become Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Intermediate champions.
