Munster Camogie Coaching Workshops & Level 1 Course
Limerick Camogie Goalkeeping Coach Willie Banks covered goalkeeping coaching for juvenile players and Paudie Butler covered progressions of coaching the basic skills to 7-11 year olds in a recent Munster coaching workshop. Over 100 coaches participated in the workshop.
Cork/Limerick Camán Get Hooked Level 1 Coaching Course
A Camán Get Hooked Level 1 Course takes place in Newtownshandrum, Co. Cork on Friday 23rd January, Saturday 24th and Saturday 31st January. This course is full with coaches from Limerick and North Cork. The course will be tutored by Eileen Gleeson and Ger Downes.

Down Camán Get a Grip Course
A 'Caman Get A Grip' foundation course was held in An Ríocht Gaa club in Co Down earlier this week. 21 coaches from An Ríocht GAC, Atticall GAC, Ballyholland Harps GAC and Kilcoo GAC attended the course with part 2 to be completed Wednesday 21st January.

Antrim Camán Get a Grip
20 coaches from 5 clubs attended a Camán Get a Grip course in Gort na Mona on Saturday 17th January. Coaches from Rossa, Sarsfields, Bredagh, Lamh Dhearg, Loch Mor dgclais and Gort na mona attended the course.
Siobhan Poulter and Lisa McAliskey tutored on the course.

Munster Fixtures Administration Workshop
Munster Camogie Development Committee held a fixtures administration workshop on Friday January 16th in Mallow GAA. This workshop focused on combining features of best practice in all counties to give ideas on administration of fixtures to county and divisional boards. The workshop was tutored by Clare Development Officer Orla Considine and National Director of Camogie Development Mary O Connor. Over 30 administrators participated in the workshop.

Laois Code of Behaviour Course:
As part of the new child welfare laws Laois camogie held a code of behaviour course on Tuesday the 20th of January. 28 people took part in the course from 5 clubs in Laois. Deirdre Hurley delivered the course held in the Leinster GAA office facilities.

Tyrone & Armagh Cumann na mBunscol Blitzes
Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Thír Eoghain got their eagerly awaited 2015 schedule underway with a heat of the annual 5-a-side ‘Indoor Hurling and Camogie’ for Tyrone
5 schools took part in the Camogie competition. Over 80 girls and boys from 5 schools attended Heat 1 of the Hurling and Camogie Indoor Competition held in Clonoe. Over 40 girls and boys from 3 schools attended Heat 2 of the indoor competition held in Omagh, Tyrone.

60 girls 8 schools attended Heat 1 of the Armagh Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Camogie Competition held in The Armagh Leisure Centre, Armagh on 21st January.

Provinical Conventions
A number of the Camogie Provincial Councils AGM’s have taken place in the last few weeks.
Munster Camogie convention took place in Kerins O Rahillys GAA club house on Sunday January 18th hosted by Kerry Camogie. Elected officers for 2015 are as follows:- Chairperson- James Moynahin, Vice Chairperson-David Ryan, Secretary- Marion Graham, Treasurer- Joe O Donnell, PRO- Fiona Casey, Registrar- Mairi Kearney, Development Officer- David Ryan, Delegate to Central Council- Mairi Kearney and Child Welfare Officer- Margaret Skehan
Leinster Camogie AGM took place on Saturday the 17th January in Leinster GAA offices in Portlaoise. Elected officers for 2015 are as follows:- Chairperson- Rachel Hogan, Chairperson elect- Pat Martin, Vice Chairperson-Hilda Breslin, Secretary- Sarah Conroy, Treasurer- Patsy Hetherton, PRO- Patrick Martin, Communications-Gerry O Sullivan, Registrar- Linda Kenny , Development Officer- Patrick Martin, Delegate to Central Council-Mary O Connor  and Child Welfare Officer- Barbara Ryan
Connacht AGM took place on January 20th in Roscommon. Elected positions for 2015 include secretary- Marion Conway, Treasurer-Johnny Kane, Development Officer-Gerry Dolan and Delegate to Central council- Geraldine McGrath.

Carlow Camogie Goalkeeping workshop coming up
Carlow Camogie are running a 6 week programme to up-skill goal keepers from under 14 right up to Senior. The workshop is being delivered by County development officer Ger Power.
Each week the girls will work in-depth on different aspects of goalkeeping including:
·         Shot stopping
·         First touch
·         Catching
·         Dealing with a high ball
·         Puck outs
·         Commanding you area
·         Clearing the ball to your teams advantage

Connacht School of Excellence workshop coming up
All county development squad coaches are required to attend their provincial School of Excellence Workshop. Peter Casey former Clare senior Camogie trainer will deliver a “NEED FOR SPEED” workshop on Connacht a part of the school of Excellence Workshop on the 24th February in Carnmore at 7.30pm. This workshop was delivered at the national GAA coaching conference this year and is a must see for all coaches.
