Croke Park

Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Championship Final
Cork v Kilkenny, Croke Park, 4pm (Éamon Cassidy, Derry)

Cork finished top of Group 1 and therefore automatically qualified into the All-Ireland Semi-Final. After winning four out of their five group games this season, and being pushed close by Wexford in the Semi-Final which went to extra-time, Cork booked their spot in this year’s All-Ireland Final where they will be looking to complete a famous three-in-a-row which would put them ahead of Dublin in the Roll of Honour with 27 All-Ireland titles.

Kilkenny took the longer route to the Final this year winning a Quarter-Final against Offaly having finished second in Group 2. Their Semi-Final clash with Galway was a close one with the match going to extra-time in a game that was also a repeat of this year’s National League Final where they again came out on top. With some good game time behind them, Kilkenny will be full of confidence going into this year’s Final and they will be looking to lift the O’Duffy Cup for the first time since 1994.
