Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Intermediate Championship, Semi-Finals

Cork v Galway, MacDonagh Park, Nenagh, 2pm (G. Donegan, Dublin)
Last year’s beaten finalists are looking strong as they continue their march towards a September Croke Park meeting. The Rebels were unbeaten in their four group fixtures, winning three and drawing one. This weekend they welcome a Galway side who finished runner up in their group campaign, behind Tipperary. With three wins, a draw and a defeat in five group matches the Tribeswomen will be looking to add another victory to their Championship campaign when they come up against the Rebels this weekend.

Down v Tipperary, Coralstown/Kinnegad GAA, 1.15pm (C. Egan, Cork)
Group 1 runners-up Down will travel south in search of a place in Croke Park on All-Ireland Final day. A near perfect performance will be required for the northern side, who conceded more scores than produced in their four group games to date. Meanwhile Tipperary have been on superb form this campaign and are scoring for fun when they take to the pitch. Having scored 14 goals in their group campaign to date, they will provide a threat to anyone and they look like favourites heading into their Semi-Final clash this weekend.
