Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship, Group 2

Offaly v Meath, St. Brendan’s Park, Birr, 5pm, (E. Cassidy, Derry)

Both teams will see this game as a must win match coming off the back of opening round defeats last time out. Offaly will look to make use of home advantage after defeat on the road to Dublin, despite scoring 3-9 in the fixture. Meanwhile Meath will be in need of confidence boost this season after a heavy defeat to Tipperary two weeks ago. The Royals will need their best performance of the season to get something from the game.

 

Wexford v Tipperary, Innovate Wexford Park, 5pm (L. Dempsey, Kilkenny)

Both teams had contrasting emotions after their opening round Championship fixtures as Wexford suffered defeat to reigning champions Cork, while Tipperary are currently sitting top of the table in group 2 after a comprehensive victory over newly promoted Meath. Home advantage could prove a crucial factor as there is very little to separate the two teams.

 

Sunday June 24^th

Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship, Group 2

Cork v Dublin, Páirc Uí Rinn, 2:30pm (F. McNamara, Clare)

Both Cork and Dublin recorded crucial wins in this year’s opening round of the Championship. The Rebels recorded a comprehensive victory over Wexford, notching up 1-19 in the process while Dublin recorded an excellent five-point win at the expense of Offaly. The away side will face a daunting task when they make the trip to the Rebel County this weekend to take on the reigning champions and nothing short of an excellent performance will be good enough if they are to take home points this weekend.
