We look ahead to this Sunday's crucial final round of group fixtures in the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues Division 1 with vital Semi-Final places on the line!

 

Sunday February 25^th

Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues Division 1, Group 1

Wexford v Galway, Innovate Wexford Park, 3.45pm (E. Cassidy, Derry) – Double-header with NHL Wexford v Clare

This tie is essentially a play-off to qualify for a Semi-Final place and it is Galway that have a slight advantage with a superior score difference meaning that should the tie finish in a draw then they will be the side to progress to the knockout rounds. Both sides have identical records having only been beaten by All-Ireland champions Cork and it will be a tight encounter to see who blinks first on Sunday.

 

Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues Division 1, Group 2 

Limerick v Waterford, Ballyagran GAA, 2pm (C. Egan, Cork)

Both sides will have it all to play for going into this encounter as they both target a Semi-Final place, but will be conscious of the possibility of Clare breathing down their necks should the Banner triumph against Dublin. Limerick have a little more comfort with the cushion of a superior score difference over both of their rivals. Na Déise will hope to add to their slaying of Dublin last weekend in a match that is set up to be a classic.

 

Meath v Kilkenny, Trim GAA, 2pm (R. Kelly, Kildare)

Meath are playing for pride as they look to finish a disappointing campaign on a high note as they remain pointless at the bottom of the table as they’ve found life in Division 1 to be a steep learning curve. The Cats will be licking their wounds after a surprise and comprehensive defeat to an impressive Limerick side last weekend. A win will guarantee the Cats top spot and they cannot afford to take this match for granted to ensure their place in the last four.
