Business for the day will include the President’s and Secretary’s address, as well as the election of officers. This year will see a new President and Secretary with Lynn Kelly and Lizzy Flynn both having served their five year terms. New motions put forward from the executive and the colleges will be discussed.
Dates for the start of the leagues also on the agenda will be a discussion on the hugely successful Ashbourne and Purcell competitions which were jointly hosted for the first time in February 2010. The venue for the forthcoming competitions will announced and dates set for the commencement of the league.
The main interest of the meeting will see the draw for the Ashbourne and Purcell competitions. WIT had a hugely successful year starting with the Fresher 7’s and then completing a League and Ashbourne Cup double for the second year in succession, beating UCC by two points in an enthralling contest.
