Tipperary have got to this semi final on the back of a good league campaign, followed by a win over Kilkenny, and losing to Cork by a goal.

In the Kilkenny game Tipperary looked sharp and were ruthless in front of goal, but a below par performance followed in Cork. However, despite loosing by a goal they will surely look at the three missed goal chances as the turning point in the game.

Tipperary have a good mix of experience and talent. Past senior players include captain Siobhan Ryan and Ciara Johnston, while county U16 captain Nicole Walsh is quickly making her presence felt.

All concerned with the panel are fully aware of the huge task facing them, but are equally aware of their own strengths and ability in overcoming the Galway challenge.
