Eoin Brislane is the new Tipperary camogie manager. The Toomevara player, who has enjoyed several stints with the Premier County senior hurlers, will be seeking double glory in 2010 as he will be hoping to steer both the senior and intermediate camogie teams to All Ireland success.

He takes over the senior team from Fr Peter Brennan, and having already managed the intermediate side this season, he will be hopeful of a head start in the new year. His own playing career is still going strong with the north Tipperary club.

Brislane said, “”even though the task of managing both panels will be a huge undertaking, I feel it will be beneficial to train together, as everyone will get a fair crack at wearing the Blue and Gold for the coming year.””

He was part of the county’s senior hurling panel under the stewardship of Babs Keating, Michael Doyle and Nicky English.

Brislane’s selectors are Gerry Cahill, Trevor Galvin and Carmel Harkin. Tipperary last won the All Ireland senior camogie championship in 2004.
