Congratulations to the Truagh Gaels team who won their first trophy since 1999 with a 1 point victory over Inniskeen in the Monaghan senior league final recently. Played in Clontibret, it was Inniskeen that started the game stronger, however a late first half goal by Truagh left the Gaels 1-1 to 0-3 in front at half time. The Truagh girls put a strong rally together in the second half and lead by 5 points going into injury time. Although Inniskeen scored a goal and a point in the 5 minutes of injury time that was played, it was Truagh that held out to record a fine victory, 2-6 to 2-5.
