æSp¾rt agus Spraoi le CholaÝstÝ’ – Queens University Belfast – 11th March 2009

Queens University Belfast camogie club is delighted to invite Second level schools in their region to attend a day that focuses on fun and participation in camogie. In association with Cumann Cam¾gaÝochta na nGael and the Irish Sports Council, this event is for 12-14 year old girls and will cater for both beginners and experienced players. It is aimed at enhancing the profile of camogie to the junior year groups in local schools and promoting teen involvement in sport.
This one-day event will consist of two sections namely:
The Skills for All Section is for all participants – those who have never played Camogie before (beginners) and those who have experienced camogie to date. The 7-a-side Blitz Section takes place after lunch. Teams are graded according to ability. If a school does not have enough to make up a team they will be matched with other schools in the same position.
Co. Down Schools recently participated in the Green CARD referee course for senior students. Referees qualifying from this course will complete their training at the blitz on this day.
