Ulster Premier League Final: Slaughtneil vs Eoghan Rua, Coleraine, Ballerin 2pm (Sunday 15)

The rescheduled Ulster Premier League Final is an all Derry affair with Eoghan Rua taking on Slaughtneil in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Both sides have enjoyed fine runs this season, Eoghan Rua picked up their first Senior Derry title overcoming Ulster and Derry Champions Lavey in the League decider, while Slaughtneil beat Rossa in the Premier League campaign.

The two sides are made up of experienced county stars with Derry‘s 2007 All-Ireland winning captain Claire Doherty featuring in midfield for Slaughtneil, county corner-back Dervla McGuigan also features. While former Derry star Helena Kelly controls the Emmets back-line at centre-half offering experience and support.

Eoghan Rua will look to All-Star Grainne McGoldrick for inspiration, with county stars Jane Carey and Meabh McGoldrick providing stability and leadership. Upfront Antrim’s sharp-shooter Grace McMullan offers the Coleraine side experience and poses a constant threat to the Slaughtneil defence.

The game promises to be a tight affair with both sides eager to claim an Ulster title at the end of the season.
