Round-Up:

Antrim continued their fine run in Division 3 with a comfortable win over Clare.

“”It was a good fast game and they were tough and physical. They’re a combination of under 16s, under 18s and seniors so they were fit and fast but in the end our experience showed,”” said Antrim manager Mary Connolly.

Captain Jane Adams was keen to praise her team’s performance saying: “”There were a lot of good individual performances but it was a great team display.””

The other Division 2 game between Derry and Kilkenny was called off as Kilkenny could not field.  This result being that Derry will pick up two much needed points.

“”We get the points which is good but really we would have preferred to have had the game,”” said Derry manager Danny Mc Grellis.

There was heartbreak for Tyrone in the Division 4 play-off as they lost to Kildare 2-9 to 1-6.

“”All the girls fought hard, right to the final whistle and there was little between the teams in the end,”” said Captain Juile Lagan.
