Round up of all the action from the Provincial Championships

Leinster

Wexford 1-14 beat Kilkenny 0-16 | Leinster Senior Semi-Final

In a rematch of last year’s Leinster Final, Wexford avenged their loss from 12 months ago, coming away winners by the minimum over a Kilkenny side that will be disappointed to see their Leinster campaign end at this stage, with the Cats gunning for a forth consecutive Leinster title this season. A Linda Bolger goal inside 90 seconds gave Wexford all the cushion they needed, with Kilkenny never taking the lead throughout the game, with the closest they got being a solitary point on three occasions. Wexford will progress to their second consecutive Leinster final, where they will face off with familiar foes Dublin.

Dublin 7-16 beat Carlow 0-06 | Leinster Senior Semi-Final

Dublin returned to action following their win over Offaly in style, scoring seven goals in a comprehensive victory over Carlow in Parnell Park. Having been beaten in the Division 1B league final a few weeks ago, Dublin have returned with a vengeance to secure a place in the Leinster final against Wexford. Having beaten the Yellowbellies’ 2-09 to 0-10 in their league meeting, Dublin will be looking to do the double to secure provincial glory.

Leinster Intermediate Championship

A local derby will decide this year’s Leinster Intermediate Camogie Championship as Laois and Westmeath prepare to face off in the final. Both sides secured their places after impressive performances over the weekend, where Laois advanced in dominant fashion, scoring a massive ten goals to overwhelm Wicklow at Pearse Park. Meanwhile, Westmeath earned their spot through a much tighter contest, narrowly defeating Meath on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-11. The two neighbours are now scheduled to meet for the provincial title on May 10th.

Ulster

Down 1-17 beat Armagh 0-10 | Ulster Senior Semi-Final

Gerra McGrattan’s personal tally of 1-04 helped fire her side past Armagh and into the final of the Ulster Senior Camogie Championship, with the Armagh challenge becoming one passed with flying colours for the Mourne. Armagh, building off their Division 3A league win a few weeks ago, will look to regroup ahead of their push for the Glen Dimplex Premier Junior All-Ireland Championship in a few weeks. For Down, a clash with last years champions Antrim awaits them in the finale.

Antrim 2-13 beat Derry 1-03 | Ulster Senior Semi-Final

Antrim seen off a stiff challenge from Derry to secure their place in another Ulster final. It wasn’t plain sailing for the three-in-a-row chasing champions, however, as Derry showed plenty of fight early on, with Jackie Donnelly’s fifth-minute goal setting a tenacious tone that Antrim struggled to shake off for large parts of the game. The experience eventually shone through, with the Division 1A side pulling clear to secure their victory.

Munster

Tipperary 0-25 beat Limerick 1-13 | Munster Senior Semi-Final

Tipperary defeated Limerick at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday to book their place in the Munster Senior Camogie Championship final, where they’ll face the winners of Kerry vs Waterford on May 16/17. Despite the nine-point winning margin, it wasn’t a straightforward victory for Tipp, Limerick pushed hard and brought the gap back to six points at the start of the second half. But quality in Blue and Gold shone through, with Tipperary not to be denied their final place.
