Learning and Development is a vital area for the Association to ensure that members are best equipped to perform their vital roles and ensure that the game and Association continues to flourish. We have a calendar of training opportunities available to our members.  Please keep up-to-date below:-

 2025 Club Leadership Development Programme (CLDP The Camogie Association, GAA and LGFA and are pleased to confirm the next phase of Club Officer training scheduled for the first few months of 2025. The Camogie Association has worked closely with the GAA’s Officer Development Committee and the LGFA to make a range of modules from the Club Leadership Development Programme (CLDP) available to both new and existing Club Officers.

PR-Óg Programme 2025 Applications Now Open for the Camogie Association’s PR-Óg Programme 2025!

We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for the PR-Óg Programme 2025!

This dynamic initiative is aimed at young adults aged 16 and over who are passionate about public relations, with a particular focus on social media and digital communications.

What is the PR-Óg Programme?

The PR-Óg Programme offers a unique opportunity for young people to develop key skills in public relations and digital content creation, while also supporting your club or county in promoting the sport we all love and contributing to promoting the Camogie Association at a grassroots level. As a participant, you will be involved in a variety of engaging modules, including:

  • Social Media Management
  • Canva & Video Editing
  • Conducting Interviews
  •  Podcast Creation
  • Match Reports & Analysis
  • Match Programmes

Participants will need to attend online training workshops and complete a range of tasks that will contribute directly to their local club or county’s Public Relations Officer (PRO). This hands-on experience will give you a chance to support your club’s PRO by producing posters, writing match reports, creating social media content, and much more.

PR-Óg Programme Schedule (2025)

The 2025 PR-Óg Programme will consist of a series of online workshops ending with an in-person graduation day. Here’s the schedule of training modules:

  • Mon 13th January 2025 – Introduction to the PR-Óg Programme
  • Wed 15th January 2025 – Module 1: Social Media
  • Wed 29th January 2025 – Module 2: Canva & Video Editing
  • Wed 12th February 2025 – Module 3: Conducting an Interview
  • Wed 26th February 2025 – Module 4: Podcast Creation
  • Wed 12th March 2025 – Module 5: Match Reports & Analysis
  • Wed 26th March 2025 – Module 6: Match Programmes
  • April 2025 – In-person Graduation Day

Leading Provincial Females Programme 2025 The Leading Provincial Females programme is designed for females aged 18+ interested in developing personally and also leading teams potentially through their role in Gaelic Games. There will be four programme running consecutively – one in Connacht, Leinster, Ulster and Munster.

All participants will attend three days, one at the start of the programme, a mid-point check in, and one at end of programme, which will examine their leadership skills. They must also attend a mid-point evening session again focusing on their leadership skills. Finally participants must complete at least two modules from themes across the four strands of coaching, officiating, administration and PR/Media between each of those dates, minimum four in total.  Participants may attend more than four modules in total if they wish but it is a minimum of two between each date.
